Events & Meetings
HOC runs a programme of indoor and outdoor (field) meetings each year (restrictions permitting) and we are always pleased to welcome and help new members.
We offer a range of Field Meetings (with limited numbers) which can be booked in advance - listed below.
Indoor meetings are held between September and March and where possible are face to face. Alternatively we hold meetings by Zoom.
What you need to know
To Register your interest for an event, click the Sign Up button next to the event. This will take you to a new page with full event details and a Register Here button. Click this to enter your details on an online form which will confirm your interest in attending.
Field Meetings

Notices will give Ordnance Survey map references (found in the extended blurb section) and will also advise on the level of difficulty of the walk, indicating distance and gradients.

Members should take suitable food, clothing, a first-aid pack (and a torch for evening meetings) or as advised for individual meetings.

Please do not bring dogs to any of the Field Meetings.

We encourage car sharing when travelling to distant meetings to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We offer a reduction in costs for any members who participate in car sharing - please get in touch for more details.
