Rotherwas to Bartonsham Meadows

From the Shell store car park we will proceed towards the River Wye taking the Canary Bridge to Bartonsham Meadows (HWT’s latest reserve). Mixed habitats, including, river bank/scrub and floodplain meadows should provide a good variety of birds - a recent first for the site was Grasshopper Warbler. Depending on the weather and time we may also take in a walk through a small wooded area – the terrain for this part of the walk is on narrow very uneven paths. For those who would like, we can finish our walk in The Munitions coffee lounge.

The circular walk should take between 2 to 3 hours and cover around 3 miles

The Shell Store,  Enter Skylon Park, turn left off Vincent Carey Road onto Skylon View and follow the road through to the end where there is plenty of free parking right outside the building. Follow if travelling via satnav…
