About the event
Meet to look for raptors: Goshawk, Peregrine & Buzzard. Walk from Christchurch to Yat Rock, mainly level walking, nearly two miles to the Rock. There is one short assent on the return.
Lunch in cars. Optional afternoon visit to Cannop Ponds, Parkend and possibly Woor Green to find Hawfinch, wintering finches and riverine birds.
Directions: Meet and park on the roadside at (SO566:129). Drive to Christchurch church on the junction of a five way cross roads, take a west direction minor road to Bracelands caravan site and park on entering woodland. (If you wish to park near the Rock at the Forestry Car park (SO564:160) There is a fee. Meet at the later time of 10:45 to 11am.)
