This will be a combined search for birds and butterflies.
Stonechats are known to be breeding on the common.
Possible butterflies include: Dark Green Fritillary, Comma, Peacock, Small tortoiseshell - we are too late for Pearl bordered Fritillaries.
It is hoped that Ian Hart the local warden will be able to join us and share his vast knowledge of the site.
The meeting is officially a morning only as the leaders have afternoon commitments, but if it is a nice day bring a picnic and just enjoy the common, or take the “Mountain Road” and head to The Black Mountains!
As the walk is dependent on the weather; please book in on the club website: https://herefordshirebirds.org.uk/events
to register your intended presence with a mobile number on which you can be contacted if necessary.
If you can’t access the website, please email Peter Jinman with your details.
Please check your emails/club website before setting off - in the event of cancellation only those registered can/will be notified!
